Red Cayennes pack a mild punch at around 50,000 Scoville Heat Units, but have a very distinct and delicious flavor profile. If your only exposure to Cayenne pepper is the powdered spice you bought at the grocery store, you're doing yourself a disservice. Plant grows to 3-5 feet in ideal conditions and will produce 3-5 pounds of peppers in a season.
